Each and every yard is eligible to be the recipient of the monthly awards (yard plates). The committee’s decision is always a difficult one. We have so many outstanding yards; each with its own uniqueness. Quality decisions are based upon the following factors:
1. Overall appearance, tidiness and neatness of the property as evidenced by:
Pruned, trimmed and shaped plants
Lawns, borders and flower beds edged and defined
Healthy and disease free foliage
2. Color and aesthetic appeal from the curb.
3. Variety of plants used in the yard.
4. Seasonal awards, based on 1-3 as well as seasonal décor, given for:
October/Halloween
November/Thanksgiving
December/Winter Holidays
